Panel Discussions & Keynote Sessions at AI Fest 2026: Where India’s AI Conversations Find Direction

Feb 11, 2026

In an era where artificial intelligence is reshaping economies, societies, and daily life, the quality and inclusivity of the conversations surrounding it become critical. Too often, global AI dialogues feel distant dominated by Western perspectives, corporate agendas, or abstract theory leaving Indian innovators, researchers, students, and policymakers searching for discussions that truly reflect our context, challenges, and opportunities.

AI Fest 2026, hosted by Chandigarh University from February 19 to 21, 2026, addresses this gap head on. As India’s first university led Artificial Intelligence Festival and a flagship Technology Innovation Fest, it creates a purposeful platform for authentic, India centric conversations. Through carefully curated panel discussions and keynote sessions, the event brings together diverse voices to explore how AI can drive inclusive, ethical, and scalable progress aligned with Innovation for Viksit Bharat.

These sessions are intentionally grounded and forward looking. Panels feature not only leading academics and founders but also practitioners doctors from rural health systems, agronomists working with small farmers, educators navigating multilingual classrooms, and policymakers shaping responsible AI frameworks. Keynotes deliver clear, actionable insights from individuals who have built and scaled AI solutions in Indian conditions, addressing real constraints such as connectivity, affordability, data diversity, and cultural relevance.

The agenda spans critical domains: AI for healthcare enabling faster diagnostics in underserved regions, AI in agriculture supporting precision farming for smallholders, AI in education India creating adaptive learning for diverse linguistic contexts, AI financial services expanding access to credit and fraud protection, smart city applications, climate resilience tools, and the cross-cutting issues of bias, ethics, data sovereignty, and inclusive deployment.

What makes these discussions distinctive is the audience itself - predominantly students, early stage founders, researchers, and young professionals, rather than a predominantly corporate or institutional crowd. Questions from the floor are refreshingly direct: How do we acquire our first 100 users with zero marketing budget? How do we build trust in AI tools in communities that have historically been excluded from technology? What does ethical AI look like when resources are limited?

These exchanges do not remain confined to the auditorium. They immediately influence the rest of the festival - the National AI Competition, AI Hackathon India, Student AI competition, AI solutions competition, AI research conference, Technology entrepreneurship event, Innovation competition India, National student competition, AI startup platform, Student hackathon 2026, AI hackathon 2026, 24-hour hackathon India, National level hackathon, Startup hackathon India, Case study competition, and the vibrant Startup Exhibition in Sandbox. Ideas heard in a morning panel often appear as prototypes or pitches by the afternoon.

For students and young professionals, these sessions offer more than inspiration they provide direction. A clearer understanding of which problems are most urgent, which approaches are gaining traction, which ethical considerations cannot be compromised, and which collaborators or mentors are worth pursuing.

If you are working on a project, preparing a pitch, competing in a hackathon, or simply seeking clarity on how AI can meaningfully contribute to India’s development goals, these panel discussions and keynotes are where the most valuable insights are shared.
