If you’re like me—a B.Tech student or a dev trying to navigate this "AI revolution"—you’re probably tired of hearing vague buzzwords. We all know AI is changing things, but the real question is: Is it working for us, or are we just along for the ride?
Next week (Feb 19-21), Chandigarh University is hosting AI FEST 2026, and they’ve lined up 11 panels that actually tackle the stuff that keeps us up at night. I’m personally stoked because these aren't just corporate pitches; they’re open dialogues between students, founders, and policymakers.
Here’s a breakdown of the sessions I think this sub will care about most:
For the Devs & Builders
Agents Council & No-Code: We’re moving toward a world where you don't need to be a syntax wizard to build products. This panel is about how no-code and AI agents are democratizing dev work.
Emerging Tech: If you're into the "deep" stuff—Quantum, Edge AI, and running LLMs locally (goodbye, API costs)—this is where the research leads are hanging out.
ANYTHING by Machines: Forget chatbots. This is about Physical AI. We're talking autonomous robots in Indian farms and factories. As an AIML student, seeing how models handle the "messy" real world is the real test.
For the Creators (UI/UX, Video, Design)
New Creators Economy: How do we get paid when AI can mimic our style in seconds? This is a huge conversation on ownership and authenticity that every digital artist needs to hear.
Sentient Structure: How AI-driven infra is going to change the literal cities we live in.
The "Big Picture" (Rights & Jobs)
Future of Work: Let’s be real—we’re all wondering which skills will actually be "premium" in two years. HR-tech founders and corporate leaders are going to be debating exactly that.
Data Sovereignty: Deepfakes, unconsented training data, and privacy. The legal frameworks discussed here will define our digital rights for the next decade.
Why this matters: Most of the time, AI decisions are made behind closed doors. This is a rare chance to actually sit in a room, ask a question, and challenge the people who are building these systems.
