About the Competition
The Nationwide Moot Court Competition, organised by the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) under Chandigarh University InnovFest 2026, provides a national platform for law students to test their advocacy, research, oratory, and drafting skills in a structured moot court setting.
The competition is designed to simulate real courtroom proceedings and encourages participants to apply legal principles to contemporary issues with clarity and precision. Through rigorous rounds evaluated by experienced legal professionals, participants gain meaningful academic and practical exposure while strengthening ethical and professional competence.
Objectives
Encourage critical legal thinking and structured problem-solving
Develop confidence in oral submissions and handling judicial interventions
Foster collaboration and teamwork
Familiarise participants with court procedures, citation standards, and professional decorum
Provide constructive feedback from judges
Build national-level networking opportunities
Prepare students for mooting, internships, and litigation careers

3-Year LL.B. Programmes
5-Year Integrated Law Programmes
